Double Blind

Following the positive response to his performance format Crit Club, artist Cem A. has developed a new work. In Double Bind, two speakers from different professional fields are brought together on stage to discuss a common topic. Despite asking the same questions, only one of the two speakers can hear what is being said. In this format, the audience becomes active researchers, able to observe unexpected overlaps and radical contradictions in real time. The speakers’ answers are visualized on stage through live semantic analysis.
