Culture in Motion: Hamburg Dance Triennial

Living Cultural Body – Tijmur Dance Theatre in the Gewölbesaal

On stages, in museums, and on the streets: From June 14 to 21, Hamburg will be all about dance. The Dance Triennial celebrates this art form in all its diversity. The MARKK is also participating with the Tijmur Dance Theatre. Their piece *Living Cultural Body* explores how culture continuously generates itself. The voice serves as the origin of movement. Through song, rhythm, and breath, the origins of the Paiwan, a Taiwanese indigenous group, are traced. This creates a greeting that transcends time, carries memories and trauma, and simultaneously opens space for renewed connection.

Tickets and information at tanztriennale.de.

The performance by the Tijmur Dance Theatre is supported by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan

Language: Deutsch
Duration: ca. 2 hour(s)
